Hopeful

I am so grateful for this new year. The new year is a strong marker that allows me to mentally turn the page and place a bookmark into my thoughts and work. I get to pick up exactly where I left off, but now I have a place to stand from and look forward.

I keep many calendars and lots of notes to myself. My notes are usually in the form of goals, ideas, and quotes. I try to keep reminded of the fact that life can be as basic and simple as written words on a piece of paper. Despite having lots of ways for me to track time (oh, my obsession with clocks...) I am not all that specific or worried about time. The things I do in life are pretty much rollin through the responsibilities and letting the other areas of my life drift free with hard work. Sounds sorta like it doesn't make sense, but that it does for me. hehe.

I am waiting for a package to arrive -- and it has taken way too long. I have ordered up a new batch of paper and water colors for myself. I have several projects lined up including a handmade calendar of the year. I can't hardly wait and am nervous with happiness about it. EEeeEee!

Anyways, I was looking at some of my favorite water color paintings this morning online. I always go back to Janusz Grabianski. His work was in my childhood elementarz (a Polish grammar book). His work is so bright and colorful. Amazing...

  1. Hello Sarah,
I, too, love the work of Janusz Grabianski. During my childhood, I read all the books illustrated by him. I still have them. He was a great artist and it is such a pity that he died so early...
